Escape into the golden age of Hollywood! Warden Woods is rolling out the red carpet for “Starry, Starry Night in Classic Hollywood.” Come dressed as your favourite star and be envied by paparazzi!

Attendees will enjoy:

  • an elegant dinner with music,
  • live theatre,
  • auction with fabulous prizes, and
  • much, much more!

The event will be hosted by Canadian Idol judge, Farley Flex, who is currently developing an innovative youth social responsibility initiative. more »

41 Division Family Skate Day

41 Division Toronto Police Services invites families of all ages to join them at this free event and enjoy:

  • Free hot chocolate;
  • Free donut bits;
  • Free entertainment, and;
  • Special appearances by Superintendent Bob Qualtrough, Pat Troll (The Mascot), and the Police Scout Car!

Free skates will be made available to those children without them. Organizers also request that you bring a CSA-approved helmet where possible, and remind you that children under 6 years of age are required to have a CSA-approved helmet while on the ice.

March Break @ the Kennedy/Eglinton Library

Spring Break at the Kennedy Eglinton Library will be chalk full of fun!  Special activities will run each day from Tuesday through Friday for children, youth, teens and families alike.

Tuesday March 16th at 2 pm – Laughter in the Library.  A comedy improvisation workshop for teens and older youth.

  • Wednesday March 17th, 10:30 am
    Silent Storytelling.  With Noriko Yamamoto for children and families.

  • Thursday March 18th, 2:00 pm
    Family Movie.  Its a surprise! Come watch it on the big screen  – in stereo.

  • Friday March 19th, 2:00 pm
    Fabulous Stories.  Master storyteller Ken Setterington for children and families.

Join Councillor Heaps and his mascot friends – Chipper the Chipmunk, Baby Billy the Brown Bear, and Peggy the Penguin – for an afternoon of family fun and  entertainment!

The day’s events include:

  • An hour of ice time (3:15pm to 4:45pm),
  • Button-making,
  • Hot chocolate and Country Bits,
  • Raffle draw

All activites are free and open to every resident of Ward 35.

  • A terrifying haunted house
  • Pumpkin carving and decorating
  • Face painting
  • Dance contest
  • Preschool arts and crafts
  • Loot bag giveaway
