Dear Ward 35 Resident,

I want to thank all the new residents who have visited our website and availed themselves of its many features. We are working hard to provide as many useful functions as possible and always welcome your suggestions to improve our service.

As I mention frequently, our office is constantly looking to provide information to the community on various activities as efficiently as possible. The cost of our newsletters has soared over the last few years and, with the increasing population in the ward, our average cost of printing and distribution will continue to grow.

Subscribing to our E-newsletter gives you “full access” to development updates and community events taking place in your neighbourhood, and saves us thousands of dollars in flyers and letters. Residents should rest assured that their email address and information is completely protected, and is only used for the purposes of contacting you when there is news to report. So sign up today!

One of the newest elements to be incorporated into the website and E-newsletter will be “Community Profiles” – stories or profiles submitted by you about Ward 35 residents who have made a difference in the community. Check out our next newsletter for the first Ward 35 Community Profile of an individual has significantly contributed to the lives of people in Ward 35.

Please remember that this community website works best when we hear from you! Many of you have used our contact form and have offered several ideas to improve life in Ward 35. Our website now includes monthly surveys that will help my office “stay in touch” with what residents are concerned about in their community. If you have an idea for our survey, please contact me with your suggestions.

I recognize that there is no substitution for knocking on doors and personally talking with residents one-on-one. With over 7,000 households in the ward, however, it takes some time to reach you all! In the meantime, I look forward to meeting you are community events and encourage you to check out the website and let us know what you think.

Until I see you at the door.

Regards,

Adrian
