Victoria Park Station Bus Terminal Replacement Project

Work is continuing on the Toronto Transit Commission’s three-year construction project at Victoria Park Station that will bring many improvements to the bus terminal and station area. During the project, the station will remain operational, but access to and from the station and to buses will change during various construction phases.

Work Conducted From January to March, 2010:

• continuation of construction of the new bus terminal;
• continuation of work on the interior station finishes and elevators;
• completion of installation of precast panels under the canopy structure in the new bus terminal;
• continuation of work on the bus platform area; and
• completion of work on the sidewalk on the west side of Victoria Park Avenue.

What to Expect from April to June, 2010

• completion of the bus platform area;
• installation of traffic signals at the busway exit;
• opening of the new bus terminal;
• continuation of work on the Teesdale entrance;
• closure of the pedestrian bridge from Crescent Town in order to reconstruct the main entrance of the station;
  NOTE: During the closure of the bridge, a temporary stairway adjacent to the pedestrian bridge will be available to provide access between Crescent Town and the west side of Victoria Park Avenue. Please cross at the traffic lights south of the bridge to access the subway station and buses on the east side of Victoria Park.
• continuation of work on the interior station finishes and elevators; and
• commencement of work on the main entrance of the station.
